Job overview and responsibilities
Koban Game Studios are seeking a talented and
experienced 2D Artist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the
development of innovative slot games. As a game studio, we aim to produce
innovative and engaging game experiences for our audience, pushing the
boundaries of technology, creativity and the concept of fun. With a culture of
learning, we are always researching and dissecting games, speaking with our
players, analyzing the market and discerning trends. We also test our design
hypothesis and technological implementations with the rigor of a scientist;
after all, there is always science in game development.
- Design and create a wide range of 2D assets for mobile/ web/ slot games, including characters, backgrounds, props, icon, reels, and UI elements.
- Collaborate with the game design team to ensure that artwork aligns with the overall game vision and mechanics.
- Develop and maintain a consistent art style throughout the game.
- Optimize artwork for various platforms and resolutions.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in 2D art and game development.
Job requirement
- 3-5 years of experience in the game industry as a 2D artist.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 2D art, including character design, environment design, and UI/UX design. Ability to create semi-realistic art styles, but also open to exploring other styles as needed.
- Solid understanding of UX/UI design principles
and best practices.
- Proficiency
in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant 2D software.
- Excellent
communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong
attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good command of the English language.
