Junior QA - Game Tester [DG]

As a member of the Quality Assurance team, you will participate in the testing process to ensure the quality of our top-rated mobile games based on relevant requirements and checklists, you will describe and report bugs on bug databases. Working closely with producers and programmers from the beginning to the end of the game production cycle (with Singapore/Kuala Lumpur/Ho Chi Minh team), you will have an in-depth vision of video games on a wide range of mobile phones.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a test plan for the development team.
• Responsible for game function test, special test (weak network test, performance test, adaptation test, etc.)
• Working closely with Game Developer and Game designer in test bug and debug for mobile games.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Responsible for writing functional test cases and special test cases
• Find bugs and errors before delivering the game to users. Record the test result.
• Keep a track of issues reported by yourself and the assigned development team(s) and maintain the bug database in an ideal form.
• Required to complete Regressions in a timely manner for the assigned development team.
• Send a status report on behalf of the entire feature team(s) to the team lead mentioning all details of the day’s work in presence of lead.
• Assume responsibilities of a task leader and work closely with Project lead to plan the task for the day and assign sub tasks to team members.
• Keep track of the progress of tests through the day and ensure that all deliverables meet the deadlines without any compromise on quality.
• Comprehensive troubleshooting of hardware in case needed in the team & documenting basic troubleshooting documents to empower juniors.
• Escalate issues regarding the team motivation/working/bonding/conflicts to the team lead and suggest viable actions.
• Mentored and trained all junior members in regards to anything and everything that concerned daily operations.
• Provide test result summary documents. Test game and manually on different devices, and platforms.
• Track the life cycle of the bug. Understand user requirements.

• Must have QA experience (game) for 2+ years
• Must be a good team player and possess can-do/ can-learn attitudes.
• Familiar with: Bug management tools: Jira , Trello
• Any tools record for: Screen-shoot video screen record.
• API testing tools (PLUS): Postman
• Framework (PLUS): Cypress, Selenium
• Compat (PLUS): Browser stack
• Language (PLUS): HTML 5 - Typescript - Node JS.
• In-depth knowledge of various tools used in game testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies.
• Excellent technical knowledge regarding platforms and their hardware.
• Self-motivated to learn and acquire new knowledge.
• Passion for Video Games (Thorough knowledge of video game genres and different factors that drive gaming experiences).
